Spain Appoints Iscriva as New Central Bank Governor

The Spanish government has decided to appoint José Luis Escrivá, a representative of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and the current Minister of Institutional Affairs, as the new governor of the country's central bank. This appointment is expected to be confirmed in the coming days. To this end, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will approach the King of Spain with a request to appoint Escrivá, who has gone through various stages in his political career and is known for his active stance on economic policy issues.
