Honda Urged Nissan to Abandon Hybrid Technologies

At a recent event, Honda confirmed that it had tried to persuade Nissan to abandon the development of new hybrid vehicles. Kazuo Hosoitera, one of Honda's high-ranking executives, stated that their main goal was to hasten the transition to fully electric vehicles. Honda believes the future of the automotive industry lies in electrification and that hybrids are merely a temporary solution on the path towards this goal.
