IIHS Announces 2025 Top Safety Pick Models Recognized for Safety

In a recent report by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the vehicles awarded the Top Safety Pick label for 2025 were announced. This designation represents the highest safety standards, granted only to those models that successfully pass a series of stringent tests. This year, many new and refreshed models have been highlighted, showcasing advancements in safety technologies and structural solutions.

Out of all the vehicles tested, 30 models received the Top Safety Pick award, while an additional 20 were honored with the higher Top Safety Pick+ accolade. The main evaluation criteria include the effectiveness of collision avoidance systems, passenger protection in crashes, and vehicle rollover resistance.

Models receiving the Top Safety Pick+ award demonstrated outstanding results in structural integrity tests and supported safety technologies, such as automatic emergency braking and driver assistance systems. These achievements reflect how automobile manufacturers are striving to create increasingly safe vehicles.

Some of the most notable models recognized with these awards include both well-known names and newcomers to the market. Manufacturers such as Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai achieved strong results, continually enhancing quality and meeting safety requirements.

The recent update to IIHS standards also includes additional safety evaluation criteria—such as testing for frontal collisions and assessing headlight performance—thus increasing the overall number of models eligible for safety recognition. Consequently, consumers can now more easily find safe vehicles on the market, which in turn will enhance overall road safety.

In summary, IIHS has once again confirmed its role in encouraging manufacturers to pursue constant innovation in safety, making roads safer for all road users.
